Visual learners learn most easily be looking and watching. They read and watch lessons in order to learn. They enjoy lots of color and tend to like quiet surroundings when they are learning.
Auditory learners tend to learn best when they hear the information they need. They might read a lesson aloud in order to cement it in their minds. These people often talk or hum to themselves if they are bored.
Kinesthetic, also known as tactile, learners learn best by doing things. They have a hard time sitting still and need to take breaks frequently. Hands on experiences were made for this type of learner.
If you are homeschooling your child, you can find materials that allow you to incorporate their learning style. This will help your child to learn more easily as well as reduce the amount of frustration that can be felt if a child is being forced to process information in a way that is not easy for them.
